7.  PROJECT ENGINEERING 

I.  DETERMINATION OF SITE CAPACITY

The maximum express car wash service capacity is estimated following line balancing theory at 108 cars/days (2,808 cars/month) under 4 workstations.

Due to the introduction stage of the services, the service capacity is 

Expected to reach at the maximum utilization of 60% (1,685 cars/month).

 

II.  PRODUCTION PROCESS

The express car wash is located in the parking lot area, which is convenience for our customer to come and excess the service. The flow of the service start from the customer drives to the express car wash office. The customer declared the objective which could be washing or washing and parking to our officer. Once the order is given to the officer. 

The car washing process will begin. The customer chooses to wash the car only. The car washing process takes about 10 minutes to process. Also, the customer could choose all program which is washing, waxing and parking. The customers can goes to the classes after dropping off the car.

The express car wash will take about 1 minute to receive the customer’s order and give them coupon for servicing. Then, the staff will bring the car to the stage 1. It is the pre-raise process, at this stage the dirt will be splash with the high-pressured  water to remove partial dirt with take about 1 minute. 

Next, the washing stage takes about 3 minutes for forming the car with shampoo on the customer’s car. Last, the Drying and Finishing process is the process of raise the car with the high- pressure water to really take off all dirts and  the car will be blow with the air-pressure gun to faster the Drying process. This process takes about 5 minutes to finished. The total time of the express car wash is about 10 minutes for each customer. Moreover, the other processes like car waxing, other cleaning service can perform at station 2 which is optional

 

III. THE ESTIMATE COST OF TOOL

-         1 Gallon of car shampoo cost about 1,500 Baht

-         Cleaning cloth is about 5,000 for big roll (1,000 sq.meters)

-         1 Dozen of sponge cost 100 Baht

-         1 Liter of tyre liquid wax cost 150 Baht

TOOLS

-         2 high-pressured water set is about 30,000 Baht

-         2 air-pressured pump set cost 20,000 Baht

-         Fan to drying all washing cloth is about 4,000 Baht

OFFICE EQUIPMENT SUPPLIERS

1)     Small air-condition machine for customer lounge is about 15,000 Baht

2)     1 set of computer and printer cost about 30,000 Baht

3)     Copy machine cost 15,000 Baht

4)     Telephone and Fax with line from Telecom Asia cost 10,000 Baht

5)     Print the customer invoice for order slip is 3,000 Baht
